Cedar camp addition
A stick-framed addition on a cedar camp — green doors and sash, pine porch ceiling, built into the trees.
An addition framed onto an existing cedar camp. We stood the walls, set the beam line, hung a pine porch ceiling, and fitted new green doors and sash so the new work reads with the old.
The house asked for. A seasonal camp on a tight wooded lot, with an existing cedar volume that had to remain the face of the house.
What we did. The addition is framed and trimmed to the camp, not pasted on it: matching openings, a screen door on the cedar wall, and a pine ceiling that belongs on a porch.
