Living at home during construction
Most Berkshire remodels happen in occupied houses. The job should be planned that way from the start.
Phasing is not a courtesy — it is the plan. Kitchens, baths, and entries are sequenced so you still have a way to cook, wash, and lock the door. If a stretch of the job needs you out, it should be in writing before it happens.
Expect a daily rhythm: arrive, protect, work, clean, leave. You should know who is in the house and how to reach the lead. Surprises belong in the scope, not in the afternoon.
Children, pets, and home offices need a boundary. We can close off rooms. We cannot make a full gut silent. We will tell you the noisy days in advance.
